Rohinton Rivetna, born in 1934, and Roshan Rivetna, born in 1939 are from Bombay (Mumbai), India, and reside in Chicago, Illinois. As pioneers of the Zoroastrian community and organizations in the U.S., Rohinton and Roshan describe their childhood memories of pre-partition Mumbai as well as their early life in the Parsi spaces of Mumbai. Rohinton shares his memories of traveling in Europe and Roshan tells us about her interest in science and education. They both reflect upon their first days in Illinois and remember fond memories of their loved ones, like Rohinton’s brother, Dara Rivetna. In addition, they reflect upon their community service, and Rohinton dives deep into the ongoing work and inspiration the community needs to forge our path forward in North America.
